Our “open door” policy encourages new associates to take advantage of the wealth of experience present in the firm. They can seek feedback, guidance and support from all members of the firm with respect to issues or questions about any of our varied practice areas. Additionally, associate meetings are held monthly and formal evaluations are conducted annually to assist our associates in their professional development. A new associate can anticipate direct client contact from the time he or she begins as an associate and early responsibility for significant aspects of a transaction or lawsuit. Our associates are expected to bill a minimum of 1,750 hours annually. We encourage our attorneys to be active participants in community and pro bono programs. Many are involved in the social, cultural, political, civic and economic life of the Pacific Northwest.
