“Back to Basics” Highlights Charitable Giving Policy

Giving back to our community where we live and work is an integral part of Ryan Swanson’s culture. The support of civic activities and the encouragement of the firm’s employees to participate in them is not only a stated tenet of the Firm Credo, it is a part of who we are. Ryan Swanson is as dedicated to making our community a better place as we are to providing quality legal services.

The firm’s Charitable Giving Committee leads the philanthropic efforts and activities. Comprised of both staff and attorneys, the Committee administers a generous annual budget determined by the firm’s Executive Committee. Each year the Charitable Giving Committee chooses a special focus for its charitable donations. The Committee then contributes time, goods, and money to select non-profit charitable organizations in our community. Past themes include educating children, honoring and supporting seniors, and combating homelessness.

This year, the Committee’s “Back to Basics” focus emphasizes volunteerism and community outreach.  The Committee has established quarterly opportunities for employees to make a difference in the community by volunteering in support of local charitable organizations. The Committee has also established a matching program that matches employee contributions or donates money based on employee volunteer hours.

Ryan Swanson strives to be an active corporate citizen. This is only possible through the participation and support of firm management, attorneys and staff alike.
